After performing all of Beethoven's piano concerti over the course of two nights in August with the Shanghai Opera House Orchestra in Shanghai, Haochen is looking forward to performing the famous "Emperor" piano concerto – the last piano concerto Beethoven wrote and perhaps the most well-known of them – with the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Mikko Franck in Paris this coming Wednesday, October 7. Following the cancellation of the China tour with National Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Noseda, the below concerts where I was scheduled to perform have also been postponed until a later time. It’s disappointing not being able to share music with all of you, and the sudden retreat to isolation does make me miss the life on the road. But through one form or another, I believe music will always be with us regardless. Hopefully I will have more updated information soon – but meanwhile, please stay at home and be healthy!
